VALUE-SAVVY SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS PICK OKEMO

LUDLOW, Vt. – Skiers and riders are always on the lookout for a good deal on lift tickets and lodging. Okemo Mountain Resort continues to offer value-savvy visitors a variety of ways to save, including a few new deals this winter.

Season Passes
The best value for skiers and riders who frequent Okemo Mountain Resort is the purchase of a season pass. Okemo’s Sunday One-Day Season Pass is a great “starter” pass for weekend day-trippers and it is priced right at $429 for adults. This direct-to-lift season pass has three blackout dates, but is valid all other Sundays throughout the season. On the other end of the spectrum, Okemo’s Ultra Pass is the top-of-the-line offering. This completely unrestricted pass is valid every day of the season. It includes added-value benefits such as first-tracks lift access and discounts on lessons, rentals, culinary and more. The Ultra Pass, priced at $1,669 for adults, includes access to the lifts at Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Crested Butte and Stratton. New for this winter season, Okemo is offering the Millennial Pass for 19-29 year-olds. Okemo understands it’s tough making the transition from college to career in these financially trying times. Okemo’s Millennial Pass is valid seven days a week, including holidays, at Okemo and Mount Sunapee, with no blackout dates. The best part is the price – only $699. Several additional season pass options means there is a season-long solution for every budget and lifestyle.

Frequent Skier Cards
Okemo offers three options in the Frequent Skier Card category. The most popular was introduced last winter. With Okemo’s Super 7 Savings Card, skiers and riders can save seven days a week all season long. Cardholders earn progressively bigger discounts as they ski or ride more frequently, and they earn a free lift ticket on their seventh visit. If purchased before Nov. 10, 2012, the price of the card is $69. After that, the price goes to $89. Cardholders receive 10 percent off the price of a lift ticket during their first visit, 20 percent off visits two and three, 30 percent off visits four, five and six, a free ticket on their seventh visit, and 40 percent off the price of a lift ticket for the remainder of the season. The Okemo 8-Pack is a pre-purchase of eight unrestricted, single, full-day lift tickets for the price of seven. The 8-Pack is valid every day of the 2012/2013 season with no restrictions and it is transferable between family and friends. It may be applied toward the purchase of one or two tickets per day. When purchased prior to Nov. 10, pricing is $588 for adults. The Okemo 12-Pack is a pre-purchase of 12 unrestricted, single, full-day lift tickets for the price of ten. The 12-Pack is valid every day of the 2012/2013 season, with no restrictions and it is transferable between family and friends. It may be applied toward the purchase of up to three tickets per day. When purchased prior to Nov. 10, pricing is $840 for adults. As an added bonus, 8-Pack and 12-Pack holders can present their valid packs at Crested Butte, Colo., lift ticket window to save 25 percent on multi-day lift ticket rates all season long.

Half-Day and Partial-Day Tickets
Partial-day lift tickets are another great way to save. In addition to its popular half-day lift ticket offer, Okemo offers a partial-day lift ticket that starts at 2 p.m. Perfect for eager overnight guests who arrive prior to check-in, this lift ticket option is just $39 for adults, $35 for Young Adults and Seniors, and $29 for Juniors and Super Seniors. This discount ticket deal is available every day with no restrictions.
Ski & StayCombining lift tickets with lodging is one of the best ways to save on a winter getaway. Overnight guests who book their stay at an Okemo Mountain Resort managed property enjoy the convenience of charging goods and services directly to their room account at nearly 100 sales points across the resort. As an added bonus, guests who book a minimum of three midweek (Sunday through Thursday) nights automatically receive a resort credit that they can access immediately after checking in. The resort credit varies according to lodging type and location. More information is available at 1-800-78-OKEMO.

Social and Online Offers
Facebook friends and Twitter followers will be the first to know about special deals offered throughout the season. In addition, savings updates and unique offers appear on the Okemo website at okemo.com. New this year, Facebook friends can “Step Up” with a special early-season multi-ticket value offer. After “Liking” Okemo on Facebook, it’s a simple click to a special fan-only link to pre-purchase three lift tickets valid through Jan.31, 2013 (excluding holidays), for just $44 a ticket. The purchaser can use them all or share them with friends.Beginning Nov. 1, three lift tickets sell for just $132 - a 50 percent savings.
