Snowcat Dining Adventure

December 20, 2013

LUDLOW, Vt. – Although they may make superb dining companions, when Okemo Mountain Resort suggests guests take a snowcat to dinner, they don’t mean those guests should share a table with a Himalayan leopard. Instead, visitors can take an excursion on an all-terrain snowcat coach for a tour of the mountain that ends at Epic, Okemo’s popular on-mountain restaurant, for a unique dining adventure. Okemo’s Snowcat Dining Adventure presented by Grey Goose is offered every Saturday evening Dec. 28 through March 1. There is also a special Valentine’s Day Snowcat Dining Adventure slated for Feb. 14.

Diners embark on their journey from the Jackson Gore courtyard and enjoy the mountain from a new perspective as their comfortable coach, equipped with tank treads, carries its passengers up the starlit snowy slopes. The golden glow of the Solitude Lodge draws the snowcat coach toward Epic Restaurant like a magnet.

Once there, diners are treated to a fireside five-course meal prepared by Epic’s Executive Chef Jason Tostrup. Formerly with The Inn at Weathersfield, Chef Tostrup joined the Okemo culinary team in December.

“Nowhere on the mountain can you find such a unique and intimate dining experience,” said Chef Jason Tostrup, “I look forward to helping continue the concept of on-mountain fine dining, and I especially look forward to welcoming our Snowcat Dining Adventure guests.”

Okemo’s Snowcat Dining Adventure is priced at $125 per person. Reservations are required for this incredible culinary experience. Snowcat Dining Adventure participants pay just $20 per child at Okemo’s Kids' Night Out program at Jackson Gore.
