Thursday, March 18, 2010 - Afternoon Update

If you missed out today, then don't make the same mistake tomorrow! It will be sunny once again this Friday with high temperatures near 60 degrees! We are still 100% open with all 119 trails and 632 acres of terrain, but with t-shirt weather in town the spring skiing and riding won't be this epic forever. The current combination of plentiful snow and beautiful weather just cannot be beat!

The smells of springtime are in the air, but here at Okemo the remnants of winter are still covering the ground. I am talking about snow, lots of snow! Our base depths remain over three feet deep and the trails are covered from edge to edge with the slippery white. The Okemo Parks and Pipes Crew has all six terrain parks dialed in and packed with all kinds of features. The Ross Powers Superpipe is a real sundog. The walls are soft and very forgiving for learning new tricks and going huge! Come take a few laps with us.

We have an incredible spring weekend planned with tons of great events and plenty of sun! The forecast looks phenomenal right now with sunny skies and temps over 60 degrees. The Sugarhouse deck will be rocking to the sounds of Spectris this Saturday from noon until 3:30 p.m. Please visit the online events calendar for a complete listing of all our upcoming events.

Finish your season on a high note by learning to get big air at the Ross Powers Snowboard Camp this March 22-24 at Okemo! Participants will ride with Ross and his team of teaching pros, covering intermediate and advanced freestyle maneuvers in Okemo's parks and the Ross Powers Superpipe. Keep in mind that 2010-2011 Season Passes are now on sale. For the lowest available rates you must commit to next season's tracks by this April 30th!
