Do you offer Group Rates?
Yes, Group Rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Okemo's Group Sales team can help you arrange discounted tickets, lessons and much more. For more details, check out our Group page.
Do you offer multi-day lift tickets?
Yes, we do offer multi-day lift tickets for all age categories. Multi-day tickets are for consecutive days only. Check out our Lift Ticket Rates page for rates and details.
What are your lift ticket holiday periods for the 2007/2008 season?
Holiday rates apply: December 26-January 1, 2008, January 19-21, 2008, February 16-22, 2008.
Do you offer age categories for lift tickets?
Yes. We offer an Adult lift ticket for ages 19-64; Young Adult/Senior lift ticket for ages 13-18 and ages 65-69; a Junior/Super Senior lift ticket for ages 7-12 and ages 70+. Where can I purchase lift tickets?
Lift tickets may be purchased at the ticket windows in the Okemo Base Area, ticket windows in the Jackson Gore Base Area (weekends and holidays only), Sugar House Lodge (closed after March 5th), Solitude Lodge (closed after March 5th), Learning Center Desk in Okemo and Jackson Gore Base Areas, Rental Center in Okemo and Jackson Gore Base Areas and Mountain Services Center.
Can I buy tickets in advance the night before?
Yes. You can get your next day lift tickets the night before and be ready to hit the slopes and make some first tracks! Visit our Lift Ticket Rates page for locations and times.
Do you offer a Reciprocal Lift Ticket with other mountains?
Yes. Just purchase a three-day or longer lift ticket or lodging/ticket package and ski one day during the life of the lift ticket at either Mount Sunapee Resort (NH) or Stratton Mountain (VT). Visit our Lift Ticket Rates page for details.
Do you have lift ticket and season pass programs for college students?
Yes. We offer a 7-day College Student Season Pass and a College Card. Check out our College Student Deals page for details.
Can I purchase Okemo Gift Cards?
Yes. Gift cards can be used at any of our sales points including Snow Sports Shops, Sitting Bull Lounge, Willie Dunn's Grille, Tickets, Lessons, Rentals, and Daycare. You can order a gift card in our Online Store or by calling (802) 228-1600.
What is the "Sunday Morning Solution Lift Ticket" offer?
Okemo's popular Sunday Solution morning half-day lift ticket is the perfect solution for weekend skiers and riders who prefer to ski in the morning and get an early start home on Sunday afternoon. This special lift ticket gives you a full 5 1/2 hours of skiing and riding, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Do you have airline service nearby?
Service is available through Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Burlington, VT; Hartford, CT; Lebanon, NH; Manchester, NH and Rutland, VT. Carriers servicing gateway airports include American Airlines, Continental, Business Express, Delta and US Airways. Connections from Boston's Logan International Airport to Rutland, VT (just 25 miles to Okemo) are available through Continental Connection, operated by Commutair. Flights are offered Monday through Friday two daily flights to Boston's Logan Airport, and two daily return flights, Saturday and Sunday one outbound flight and one inbound per day. For reservations, call 1-800-525-0280.
Do you have Parks and Pipes?
We have one Super Pipe and one half pipe and terrain parks throughout the mountain. Skiers and Riders are allowed in all our Parks & Pipes. Check out our Parks & Pipes page.
Is there train service to Okemo?
Passenger train service is available through AMTRAK on the Ethan Allen Express passenger train from NYC's Penn Station. Arrive in Rutland, VT Friday evening and depart Rutland, VT Sunday afternoon back to Penn Station. For information and reservations, call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL.

Do you offer Slopeside Lodging?
Okemo's slopeside condominiums offer the finest in luxury and convenience with direct ski-in/ski-out and mountainside access. An Okemo Resort Shuttle enables guests to conveniently access Okemo's condominium complexes, the new base area at Jackson Gore, the main base lodge area, Okemo Valley Golf Club and Nordic Center and Willie Dunn's Grille without having to drive a car.
Okemo's Jackson Gore Inn combines the warmth and allure of the Vermont countryside, with the ambiance of fine hotel. The Inn is refined, rich with charm and features amenities and services found in first class hotels. Inn rooms range in size from artfully appointed standard guestrooms to 3-bedroom suites. Most are fully equipped with all of the amenities of home including personal stereo systems, whirlpool baths, kitchen facilities and more. Bell/valet/service, full-service restaurant and lounge, underground parking, health club, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, and whirlpool spas are among the many amenities and services provided.

What do I need to rent from the Okemo Express Rental Centers?
Cash ($300 recreational/$600 performance) or major credit card imprint is required as a deposit on all equipment rentals and demos. Visit our Rental Centers page for more information.
Do you offer ski or board tune-ups on-mountain?
Yes. We offer ski or board tunes at the Okemo Express Repair Centers (located in the Base Lodge and Jackson Gore Base Area) and the Salomon Oasis Demo Center (located on-mountain next to the Sugar House Lodge).
Can you demo the latest skis/snowboards?
Yes. You can demo the latest skis/snowboards at the Salomon and Atomic Demo Center located on-mountain next to the Sugar House Lodge. Try all the new ski-binding systems, fat skis, twin-tips, carving skis, racing skis and Snowblades. Full-day, half-day, and hourly rentals are available. Visit our Demo Center page for more details.
You can also demo Salomon high-performance skis at the Okemo Express Rental Center, located in the Okemo Base Lodge.
If you are planning on buying a pair or skis and want to try them first, you can at the Okemo Snow Sports Shop, located in the Okemo Base Lodge. If you buy the skis you put the demo rate towards the pair of skis. It is recommend you call ahead to reserve at (802) 228-1548. Skis available for demo: Volant, Stockli, Nordica, Fischer, Atomic, and Salomon.
Do you have a shuttle service?
Yes. The Okemo Village Shuttle and the Okemo Resort Shuttle.
The Okemo Village Shuttle buses make frequent stops at convenient locations throughout the Ludlow/Proctorsville region. Okemo's free service operates throughout the season on weekends and holiday periods starting in December through March, excluding Christmas Day. Pick up your bus schedule in the Mountain Services Center, located by the Okemo Clock Tower or check out our Okemo Village Shuttle Schedule page.
A resort shuttle serves Okemo Mountain Resort Properties (rental guests & owners), the Inn at Jackson Gore, the Base Lodge Area, Okemo Valley Nordic Center and Willie Dunn's Grille. Dates of operation: December 8, 2007 through March, excluding Christmas Day. Schedules available at the Lodging & Welcome Center, located by the Okemo Clock Tower.
Do you have a place to store our personal belongings?
We have conventional coin-operated lockers in the base areas. We also offer Basket Room storage, located next to the Learning Center Desk in the Okemo Base Lodge. A daily fee allows you to store, and have unlimited access to your belongings in a convenient and secure storage area with small and large baskets available. The Basket Room also offers overnight and multi-day storage options for personal belongings. Open 7:30am on weekends and holidays and 8:30am midweek, closes at 4:30pm.
Can we store our skis/snowboards overnight?
Yes. We offer STOR-A-SKI, daily and overnight storage for skis, poles, and snowboards with unlimited daily access. The Stor-A-Ski facility is located between the Okemo Base Lodge and the South Ridge A & B quad chairlifts.
The Okemo Repair Center at Jackson Gore offers overnight ski and snowboard equipment storage. You don't need to be a guest of the Jackson Gore Inn to take advantage of this convenience option.
Can we get a professional photo while on the mountain?
Yes. Color photographs area available through Photos By Reflex, located in the Okemo Base Lodge. Photographers shoot individual, family and group photos with no initial fee or obligation.
Do you offer Mountain Tours?
Yes. Stop by the Mountain Information Booth and catch up on “what’s hot” at Okemo, located by the Sugar House Lodge. Mountain Ambassadors will provide updated information on snow conditions and the “trail of the day”. They offer free guided tours to intermediate and advanced skiers and riders on weekends and during holiday vacation weeks from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. It’s a great way to acquaint yourself with Okemo’s vast lift and trail network. All that’s needed is a lift ticket to join the tour group and become familiar with Okemo’s vast trail network.
Where are the Ski Patrol & First Aid locations?
Our Ski Patrol and First Aid stations are strategically positioned in seven locations around the mountain. You can find the nearest location by referring to the Okemo Trail Map (pocket-sized trail maps are available around the mountain). If you are in need of assistance, please proceed to the nearest Patrol House. Also, any lift attendant would be happy to contact the patrol for you.
What other activities do you offer besides skiing and riding?
There are many things to do off the mountain. Our new Fitness and Aquatic Center offers swimming and lap pools, hot tubs, raquetball court, childrens' splash features, fitness classes, spa services and more. Okemo also offers ice skating in the new Ice House and Snow Tubing in our new tubing park. Snowshoeing is another favorite activity, which can be enjoyed both on Okemo Mountain (check out the purple dotted line on the Okemo Trail Map for On-Mountain Snowshoe Routes) and at Okemo Valley Nordic Center. Snowshoeing is great exercise and you can enjoy it at your own pace and snowshoes are available for rent.
Ice skating and sledding are also offered at the West Hill Recreational Area, about 5 minutes from Okemo. They have an outdoor rink and a great hill for sledding. You must provide your own skates and sleds. There is a nominal fee.
Do you offer cross-country skiing?
Yes. We offer cross-country skiing at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center, located only one mile from Okemo Mountain Resort. Okemo Valley Nordic Center features 22km of cross-country trails, 13km of dedicated snowshoe trails and 8km of skating lanes, tree skiing and terrain that winds its way through pristine meadows and hillsides. The Nordic Center features modern trail grooming and is ideally suited for all ability levels. For more information, check out our Nordic Center page.
Are there any events just for women?
Yes. We offer Women's Alpine Adventures, taught by women, for women. Our Women's Alpine Adventures are a place where women of all ages and ability levels come together for days of great skiing, personal instruction, fitness, fun with alternative gear, wellness, and togetherness. Do you have night skiing?
No, we do not have night skiing at Okemo.
Where do I go with additional questions while on-mountain?
If you have any questions or problems, you may stop by the Mountain Services Center, conveniently located at the drop off area under the Okemo Clock Tower, to speak with a Mountain Services Representative. The MSC is also a sales office for an array of products including Okemo season passes, The Okemo 8- and 12-Pack, The Okemo Flex Card and The College Card.
MSC Office lobby hours (November – April) are Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm and weekends and holidays 7:30am-5pm. Or you may reach us at (802) 228-1600, Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm and weekends and holidays 7:00am-4:30pm. MSC Summer/Fall hours (End of April - October) are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday.

CHILDREN PROGRAMS
Do you have babysitting in the evening?
The Penguin Playground Daycare Center at Jackson Gore offers evening hours on selected holiday dates, so mom and dad can enjoy an evening out together. Kids' Night Out for ages 6 mos -12 years from 6 pm to 9:30 pm includes movies, pizza, and lots of fun. Reservations are required. Please call (802) 228-1600 to reserve a space for your child.
We also have a babysitters list that we can either fax you or you can pick up in the Penguin Playground Day Care Center.
How old does my child have to be to learn how to ski?
You can start your child skiing as early as age 2 with a Star Booster lesson - our 30 minute one-on-one private instructional program for children ages 2-7. For 3-4 year olds, our Mini Stars program available through the Penguin Playground Day Care Center (they need not be enrolled in our day care program to participate). Our Snow Star Skiers program is for ages 4-7 and our Snow Star Riders program is for ages 5-7. For more information, visit our Children's Programs section.
Should I make a reservation for your Snow Stars Program?
Reservations are recommended for all dates, but weekends and holiday weeks will fill quickly so ensure your child's spot by reserving now. You can call (802) 228-1600 or you can check out our Snow Stars page.

The Snow Stars program is located in the Okemo Base Area and Jackson Gore Base Area.

Do Children under 6 have to buy a lift ticket?
Kids 6 & under ski FREE with a lift ticket. Just ask us for a FREE children's lift ticket at the ticket window. Child must be present.
Do you offer day care? Should I make a reservation?
We offer day care in our Penguin Playground Day Care Center for children ages 6 months to 4 years. Reservations are required. You can call (802) 228-1600 or learn more about the Penguin Playground online.
Do you offer lessons?
Okemo's Cutting Edge Learning Center instructional programs offer private, semi-private, group lessons and children's programs. We also offer Okemo's renowned Women's Alpine Adventures. Visit our learning center pages for more information.
Do you have a "Try Before You Buy"?
Yes. Every morning the first hour (60 minutes) of lift operation is FREE so Okemo skiers and riders can "check out" the snow conditions before they purchase a lift ticket. Try Before You Buy first hour free is only valid midweek (non-holiday) from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, and on weekends and holiday periods from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. Convenient on-mountain ticketing locations can be found at the Sugar House, Solitude Village, Okemo Base Lodge and at the Jackson Gore Base.
Please note: Multi-day lift tickets or pre-purchased tickets do not qualify for this option. After the First Hour, it will be unlawful to access Okemo’s lifts without a valid lift ticket or season pass under Vermont’s Theft of Services Laws 13, V.S.A. 2581 & 2582. Skiing or riding without a lift ticket or pass, or with a fraudulent lift ticket or pass will result in prosecution. Lift tickets are non-refundable and no vouchers will be issued or extended for weather or lift-related situations. Skiers and riders should contact the Mountain Services Office for additional information on the "Try Before You Buy" by calling (802) 228-1600. This policy is subject to change.
Where is the Lost & Found area?
Okemo's Lost & Found is located at the Main Learning Center Desk in the Base Lodge and at the Jackson Gore Learning Center Desk. You can stop by the Learning Center Desks or call (802) 228-4041.
Do you offer rental equipment on-mountain at Okemo?
Yes, we have skis, boots, poles, snowboards, snowblades, helmets and snowshoes available for rental in our rental shops. Visit the rental pages for more information. |
