Group Races
Add to your day of fun with a bit of friendly competition. Okemo can help you plan a fun race in our NASTAR Race Arena or a private race course on one of our race trails like Wardance or Chief. Make it as simple as one fun run, or professional with race bibs, timing and awards.
Thanks for the Memories
Take home a color photograph for your group, available through Photos by Reflex, located in the Okemo clocktower base area. Reflex photographers will provide your goup memories to last a lifetime. Advance arrangements for your group may be made through the Sales Center, or by stopping by the Reflex Desk in the base lodge.
Off Mountain Alternatives
At Okemo we understand that not every member of your group is an alpine skier or snowboarder (although we can't possibly understand why not!) and have to put together some other options for the non-skiers/boarders in your group.
Nordic Skiing
The Okemo Valley Nordic Center offers skiing on 22km with 8km of groomed skating lanes that wind their way through pristine meadows and hillsides and along the Black River. Modern trail grooming and a variety of Nordic terrain make Okemo Valley ideal for all ability levels. Open Monday-Friday: 9 am - 4 pm; Weekends & Holidays: 8 am - 4 pm.
1/2 days available: 12:30 pm - 4 pm
We would be happy to help you plan your visit to the Nordic Center. Please contact the group sales office at 1-800-78-OKEMO (1-800-786-5366) for more information or to book your group. Check out our Okemo Valley Nordic Center page to view a trail map or for more information.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is great exercise and you can enjoy it at your own pace. Snowshoeing is allowed on Okemo Mountain (lift access is not available) and at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center.
On the mountain, you can take a self-guided trek on Okemo's 5km maintained network of snowshoe trails that trace the periphery of Okemo Mountain on Easier and Intermediate terrain. Print out the Okemo Mountain Trail Map and follow the purple dotted lines for your snowshoe hike (or pick up an Okemo trail map when you get here). There is no trail fee to snowshoe on the trails of Okemo Mountain, although snowshoers are not allowed on the lifts. Be sure to stay on the side of the trail at all times and avoid snowshoeing alone.
At the Okemo Valley Nordic Center, you will find 10km of dedicated snowshoe trails. A Trail Fee is required.
Okemo also offers FREE guided snowshoe tours for Okemo's gala fireworks displays. Meet inside the Okemo Express Rental Shop at 6 pm to be fitted for snowshoes (or bring your own). Tours depart the Okemo Base Area beside South Ridge Quad A at 7 pm and head up on the Bull Run trail to watch the fireworks. Call the Okemo Valley Nordic Center for details on these guided snowshoe tours.
Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling is a great way to experience the beautiful winter scenery on the road less taken in Vermont. The Okemo Valley offers both snowmobile tour companies and self-guided snowmobiling. Check out these companies' websites or contact them directly for more information or to make a reservation.

Have your own sled? Please visit VAST (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) for additional information about snowmobiling in VT. VT permits are required for all winter trail riders. TMA's can be purchased through local clubs. "TMA stands for Trails Maintenance Assessment and is the pass, which allows you to snowmobile on signed and groomed VAST trails. Each TMA is placed on the left-side of your snowmobile cowl adjacent to your state registration, according to VT law." (Quote from VAST.org) The non-resident TMA fee is $95. TMA's can be purchased in the Ludlow area at NAPA Auto Parts on South Main St or by calling NAPA Auto Parts at (802) 228-8815.
A friendly remember: confirm parking for your trailer at your lodging property.
