Factors to Consider:

  • Weather – Our resort is dependent on the snow and cold! Please note: hours of operation can vary dependent on weather.
  • Embassy and Consulate Procedures & Policies – The policies for issuance of visas for international work and travel vary widely from country to country and embassy to consulate. These procedures and policies may change at any given time. We recommend checking in with your home consulate or embassy on a regular basis. To access the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in your home country, go to the U.S. Department of State website at www.state.gov
  • Visa Approval – Visa approval is not final until issued at your local consulate or embassy.
  • Timing of Visa Approval & Issuance – Okemo Mountain Resort does not control the timing of visa approval or issuance. We do our best to expedite the process. Careful planning with your local consulate and timeliness of appointment at the embassy in your country is key.
  • Housing – Housing in the Ludlow area is limited and varies in cost. Okemo Mountain Resort has limited housing spots and they must be secured by payment of a housing and security deposit. Local housing options can be obtained by request by e-mailing jobs@okemo.com
  • Airfare & Travel Arrangements – Should you be hired, we ask that you do not secure your airfare or make your travel arrangements until you receive notice from Okemo Mountain Resort that your visa has been approved by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. We strongly urge you not to make arrangements that are non-refundable.
  • The Okemo Team Look – Our Team Look is extremely important and encompasses both cleanliness and appearance. Our resort has certain standards which must be followed including, but not limited to: uniforms worn during work hours only, nametags worn during work hours only, employees must be clean and well-groomed, hair must be natural-colored and neatly trimmed, tattoos must be covered, piercings are only allowed on the ears, beards and mustaches must be trimmed, and clothing must be cleaned and undamaged.
