Vice President of Marketing
Full-Time Year-Round
Okemo Mountain Resort, located in the village of Ludlow in south-central Vermont, has an opening for a Vice President of Marketing. Rated as one of the top in North America for Snow Quality, Service and Grooming and known for its family-friendly environment, Okemo is the big mountain that gets the little things right. The Vice President of Marketing promotes our resort through developing a marketing plan and positioning statement that is true to our brand. Responsibilities include developing objectives, policies and programs for marketing and sales activities on a four season basis, implementing pricing strategies in accordance with volume, yield and brand objectives; overseeing all print, broadcast and internet advertising. Management duties include providing marketing and advertising support to all departments, developing and overseeing the budget (advertising, public relations and group sales), interviewing, selecting, directing and scheduling the sales and marketing staff. This position also serves as a liaison to Vermont Ski Areas Association, New England Ski Areas Council, Mountains of Distinction and other trade organizations. Requirements include strong written and verbal skills, the ability to ski or snow board all aspects of the mountain at an advanced level and 10 years of management experience in marketing and/or sales. Educational experience includes a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or a combination of graduate work and work experience. RECERATION ATTENDANT NIGHT SUPERVISOR
Full-Time Year-Round
The resort's new source for relaxation and rejuvenation, a two-level, 18,000-square-foot fitness and aquatic center recreation facility, has an opening for a Night Attendant and Supervisor. Responsibilities include supervising and training employees, coordinating nightly activities, maintaining membership records, monitoring the pool and spa chemicals and temperatures, cleaning and stocking of items, processing massage reservations and cash handling. The ideal candidate will have the ability to supervise and train personnel, strong organizational skills and the ability to operate a cash register with accuracy. Previous supervisory experience is required. The work schedule for this position is 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., weekends and holidays are required. ASSISTANT MANAGER
Full-Time Year-Round
The Assistant Manager will supervise and coordinate regular and special event meal service, interview, supervise and train employees, perform inventories and control daily operating budgets. The ideal candidate will have fine dining experience, extensive wine knowledge and excellent guest service skills. Knowledge of Vermont State Health and Liquor control regulations and POS programming preferred. Requirements include 3 years management and food experience. SNOW REPORTER/COMMUNICATIONS
Full-Time Winter
Responsibilities include the creation of daily snow report scripts, voice and web site snow updates, taking and posting the "Photo of the Day", clerical duties, and other related marketing projects. Creative writing ability and operating knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Previous experience in an office environment encouraged. Advanced ski/snowboard ability necessary. This is a Full-Time position, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
LINE COOK
Full-Time Seasonal
Our Culinary Services Team has a Line Cook position available. Responsibilities include preparing food, line cooking, storage and stocking of inventory and maintaining a clean kitchen. The ideal candidate will have previous line cooking experience and enjoy working in a fast paced, fun environment resort at a restaurant with unsurpassed food quality. This is a full time seasonal position with the potential to continue through the winter.
GROUP SALES COORDINATOR
Full-Time Winter
The Sales Coordinator is involved with daily operations of the Group Sales Center including opening and closing procedures, ticketing and accurate payment collection and cash-out procedures. In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for inbound and outbound sales calls to secure group business, book and coordinate group lodging needs, and attend retail shows and club/corporate/group functions. Some day and overnight travel required. Experience required includes a knowledge of accounting procedures including strong math skills, the ability to make quick and accurate decisions in a fast paced environment and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of database management and lodging reservation systems a plus. 1 year of resort sales experience and a college degree in business or experience in a related sales field preferred. This position will begin in late August.
WAITSTAFF - TATER HILL GOLF COURSE
Part-Time
Okemo's Tater Hill Golf Course located in North Windham, VT has a Wait Staff position available. Responsibilities include ordering, serving and charging of food and drink to guests. The ideal candidate will enjoy interaction with golf member and possess strong communication and guest service skills. DATABASE DEVELOPER
Full-Time Year-Round
Okemo Mountain Resort is searching for an individual with strong database and system interfacing experience to join the Information Systems Department. This position will support a diverse data environment consisting of point-of-sales, e-commerce sales, reservations, property management, payroll and accounting and customer contacts. The Database Developer will help support all database functions, including end user training, solving hardware and software problems, ensuring systems integrity and interfaces to other systems as well as general computer support for all systems. Requirements for this position include a commitment to customer service and excellent oral communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years experience in advanced MSSql/FoxPro design and maintenance, .net/ASPX development, computer and networking systems and database integration in a Windows 2003 active directory environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is required. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
