The Mountain Travel Research Program provided a study to Ski Area Management Magazine on how the occupancy levels have been increasing in the month of January at many western resorts. Jackson Gore is also experiencing the same results. With all the new snow we have accumulated in the month of February, reservations have been at an all time high during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and Presidents weekend, along with the majority of weekend’s in-between and following. “An improving economy and decent snow in many parts of the country combined to drive the pace of reservations taken in January to become the strongest we’ve seen in quite some time,” says Ralf Garrison, director of MTRiP. With the increase in lodging reservations, along with the uptick in the real estate market, we have been seeing a lot of serious interest in real estate at Jackson Gore.

Summer Events

Jackson Gore Spring is here, and with summer just around the corner Okemo is busy planning activities and festivals for the whole family to enjoy. Every Friday night, starting June 14th through August 30th join us in the Jackson Gore Courtyard for the Summer Music Series. Celebrate 4th of July weekend at our Red, White, and Blues Festival with live music and great food. Our 5th annual Hops in the Hills Brewfest is being held August 24, 2013. Sample local brews and vote for your favorite chicken wing! To end the summer season and kick off the winter we will be holding the Parrothead Festival on October 12, 2013. Golf Season is almost here!

It’s time to dust off those golf clubs and hang up the skis. As the snow melts away, the folks at Okemo Valley Golf Club are busy getting the greens ready. Mary Davis Demo Day wrap up

Mary Davis Demo Day went off without a hitch. Eager skiers were lining up first thing in the morning. The folks at Mary Davis Real Estate registered over 250 people. Skiers demoed next years styles from top companies such as 4Front, Kastle, Atomic, Nordica, Salomon, Head, Fischer, Faction, Liberty and more! Jackson Gore Real Estate put smiles on the faces of many children by roasting smores by the fire pit on this sunny March day. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
