ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR

Okemo Mountain Resort has an opening for an Accounting Administrator.  Responsibilities include journal entry calculations and entries, maintaining balance sheet controls, reconciliation of accounts payable vendor statements and bank account statements to the general ledger.  In addition this position will be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable accounts and collections, as well as statement and invoice processing and provide support to the cash room.  The ideal candidate will have strong data entry, math, typing and calculator skills as well as cash handling experience and strong organizational skills.  This is a full-time year round position with benefits including 401k, Medical, Dental & Disability Insurance, Vacation/Sick/Personal Time, Flex Plan, Ski & Golf Resort Discounts and more!

ASSISTANT SKI + RIDE SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Seasonal Department Head
Okemo Mountain, a family operated resort for over 25 years, has an opening for an Assistant
Ski + Ride School Director.  Located in southern Vermont in the Village of Ludlow, Okemo offers 119 trails, 19 lifts and is recognized for snow quality, grooming and family programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for all aspects of the Ski + Ride School and staff of approximately 400 both on and off snow in the absence of the director. The Ski + Ride School provides instruction for all ages including the children’s programs, Snow Stars and Day Care.  Management duties include assisting with interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and scheduling employees and the ability to establish budgets and projections for future growth. This position also assists with marketing functions to include creating and implementing programs, and representing the mountain within the industry.  The ideal candidate will have previous management experience, an Associate’s degree in a related area, business, resort or sports management preferred, and PSIA level 3 certification or higher.  Ability to ski or snowboard all terrain at an advanced level on the mountain is required. This is a Seasonal Department Head position working from September through April. Okemo Mountain Resort’s state licensed day care centers have an opening for a Day Care Manager.  Responsibilities include employment, training, scheduling, evaluation of staff and budget preparation.  In addition, the Day Care Manager will maintain all licensing regulations and provide a pleasant, safe and clean environment suitable for children.  Requirements include a BA/BS in Early Childhood or Human/Child Development and two years experience, or a BA/BS and four early childhood higher education courses and three years experience or an Associate’s Degree and four early childhood higher education courses and four years experience.  The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a licensed Day Care.  This is a Seasonal Department Head position from September through April. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Part-Time, Seasonal
Okemo Mountain Resort has an opening for a part-time Human Resources Assistant.  Responsibilities include supporting daily functions of Human Resources including assisting with recruitment, special events, and employee recognition programs in addition to providing administrative support.  If you enjoy working with people and promoting a fun work environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a great team!  Enthusiasm, great people skills, attention to detail, excellent grammar, editing and writing skills needed for a high volume, fast paced environment.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years previous human resources, administrative or comparable experience.

ADVENTURE PARK ATTENDANTS
Full-Time Summer
Responsible for performing daily safety checks on equipment, completing safety and inspection logs, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance of the Adventure Park. In addition the Adventure Park Attendants will communicate with Resort Services to ensure all liability and ticketing procedures are carried out properly within the operational guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong guest services skills, attention to detail, computer knowledge to operate point of sales operations and ability to multi task in a fast paced environment. Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for extended periods of time is required. Previous experience is preferred.

BARTENDER
Full-Time Seasonal

Okemo Mountain Resort has a position available for a Bartender at our high volume 250 seat restaurant, Coleman Brook Tavern featuring upscale cuisine and an award winning wine list.  Responsibilities include preparing, serving and charging of drinks for an upscale bar.   Previous experience required. 

GROUP SALES REPRESENTATIVES
Full Time Winter
The Sales Representative is involved with daily group ticketing operations, group reservations, and administrative work. Experience required includes excellent communications by phone, voice and written correspondence, as well as strong computer and mathematical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required and knowledge of ACT! a plus.

HOUSEKEEPERS
Full and Part Time Summer
Okemo Mountain Resort has openings for housekeepers.  Individuals must have the ability to take direction and work independently in a fast paced environment. Some heavy lifting required. These positions are Full Time and Part Time Seasonal including weekends and holidays and may require a valid driver’s license.

HOUSEPERSON
Full-Time Seasonal
Okemo Mountain Resort has an opening for a Houseperson.  Responsibilities include the interior maintenance of the properties including vacuuming, cleaning windows and stocking linen and supplies.  Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule that includes day and evening shifts.

MANAGER IN TRAINING
Full-Time Seasonal
Okemo Mountain Resort’s Manager In Training program was developed to expose candidates to ski industry operations including finance, human resources, resort services, marketing, hotel, golf, culinary services, on-snow services and more. This program is a unique opportunity for those interested in resort operations management and daily work includes a broad range of entry level to management level tasks, providing candidates with well-rounded experience throughout the course of the ski season. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a business, resort, hotel, recreation or hospitality program who is looking for a great opportunity to sharpen their classroom skills in a live environment.  Candidates must possess a strong work ethic with excellent guest service skills, have a positive attitude, and be willing and flexible in order to learn the many facets of a resort business. The duration of this paid opportunity is approximately 8-10 months beginning in October, includes a rotation in several departments, and requires the ability to adapt to a changing work schedule and environment depending on the operation.  Weekends and holidays are required, as well as the ability to travel to the worksite. A valid driver’s license is required.  Applications must be accompanied by a resume and letters of reference from professors and past or current employers. PURCHASING AND PARTS INVENTORY AGENT

REAL ESTATE SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR 
Okemo Mountain Resort has an opening for a seasoned Sales and Marketing Director for the South Face Village at Okemo, a new high-end ski-on/ski-off real estate development project located in a new area of Okemo Mountain Resort. Okemo Mountain Resort is seeking a senior accountant to work in a multi-company environment to review and analyze financial information in preparation for timely and accurate monthly closes.  Responsibilities include ensuring the accurate recording of revenues and expenses, balance sheet controls, home owner association accounting, various reconciliations and cost analysis as well as filing of corporate excise taxes.  The ideal candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with CPA designation preferred, along with five or more years of related experience.  Other skills required are proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), strong communication skills, problem analysis and resolution skills.  This is a Full-Time Year-Round Position with benefits including 401K, Medical, Dental & Disability Insurance, Vacation/Sick Time/Personal Time, Flex Plan, Ski & Golf Resort Discounts and more.
